The Senior Solution / Integration Architect's (IA) primary role is to design and lead the technical delivery of ThoughtWire's integration technology into customer environments. This integrated solution will leverage ThoughtWire connectors for database, web, web services, REST, etc. to enable collaborative integration between customer and Internet based applications.

The Senior IA continues with the project beyond architecture and design. They ensure deliverables meet design specifications and are involved in the integrated implementation plan for ThoughtWire and Partner led deployments.

Job Responsibilities:

In this role, the incumbent will:

• Leverage ThoughtWire technology and architect integrated solutions to satisfy customer needs. Provide more detail for delivery on technical designs so the ThoughtWire development team can complete the solution.
• Publish and present design findings and recommendations to both technical and non technical audiences.
• Establish and maintain solution architecture standards, providing direction to project teams and partners on deployment best practices for ThoughtWire technology.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure the functional specification is defined and met, platform security is accounted for, and to develop, review and evaluate designs.
• Document reference architectures and deployment models for ThoughtWire based integration.
• Design, develop and communicate architecture designs using ThoughtWIre technology.
• Govern the delivery elements for the integrated solution to ensure fit to design.
• Create technical process model/flows that show technical integration points between customer applications based upon business requirements. These are driven from business requirements flows and are utilized by the development teams.
• Complete the Integrated implementation plan for all ThoughtWire solutions for the project.

The incumbent will work within a broad spectrum of technology domains ranging from infrastructure to application delivery.

Qualifications

Must Haves:

• Post secondary education, preferably in Computer Science or related fields.
• 10+ years practical experience in information systems.
• Consulting experience working with customers and/or partners.
• Team Lead skills (can lead a small team of analysts/programmers).
• Strong technology research skillset with proven ability to architect and present technology alternatives based on scope level business concepts.
• Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills with the understanding of design patterns for n-tier and service-oriented architectures.
• Knowledge in principles of software architecture, techniques and UML notation.
• Strong knowledge of J2EE-based delivery, SOA and architectural experience or industry certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to present findings to peers and senior management.
• Data modeling experience
• System modeling experience or education (XDE, Rational Rose, UML)
• Self motivated individual capable of working with minimal supervision while maintaining a commitment to coach and mentor others.
• Knowledge and experience regarding the practical application of security/risk concepts, standards and regulations in the enterprise.
• Experience designing and delivering web based solutions integrating to legacy back-end environments.

• Database Access (JDBC, ODBC, SQL)
• IPSec, SSL/TLS, Firewalls, Key Management

Knowledge of one of either Financial Services industry or Healthcare and related technologies would be an asset.
